Audrey's special passion for dog training began in childhood at her mother’s home-based boarding, grooming and training business.  Prior to opening The Barking Lot, Audrey worked as a veterinary technician specializing in  pet nutrition and behavior.

Audrey continues to love working with and training dogs.  She frequently hosts classes and workshops to help dogs and owners relate to one another, and is always available to help answer your pet training questions.

Her philosophy is based on the principle that dogs enjoy learning and working with people.  She believes that creating a positive, loving training environment is paramount to achieving success with your dog. She does not support training methods that hurt or frighten dogs. 

Her training techniques have helped many dogs. including those struggling with severe behavior problems.  Audrey has also achieved many accomplishments with her own dogs in obedience competition, therapy dog work, agility, field training, canine freestyle and rally obedience.  See “About Us- Our Pets” for more about these wonderful dogs.
