There are many places where you can make a difference in an animal's life.

Here in the Tri-Cities, we have the Benton Franklin Humane Society, which

always needs volunteers as well as financial support and support from the

community. The BF Humane Society operates a No-Kill shelter and has a wealth

of information on how to help animals in our community.

     Another pet-oriented community service group is Pet OverPopulation

Prevention whose motto, "Prevent a litter -- Spay or Neuter your Critter,"

says it all. POP is a 503(c)(3) organization, which means that donations are tax-

deductible.
