The Barking Lot is owned and operated by Matthew Ulrich (and son Xavier). Matt is a professionally trained dog groomer who loves his work and especially loves animals. Matt spent many years managing a pet store. He has also worked in the wholesale pet industry.

The Barking Lot opened in 1999.  Matt and his late wife, Audrey, attended grooming school and opened their salon with the goal of providing the highest possible care to their special clients.

Since opening The Barking Lot, Matthew’s passion for animals has continued to grow.  He actively pursues education and advancement in their profession for himself and his staff.  At The Barking Lot, services and facilities continue to improve.

In addition to caring for lucky pets at The Barking Lot, Matthew actively works with community charities.  He is dedicated to help people and animals have happier lives.  See Special Interests.
