The Barking Lot is owned and operated by Audrey and Matthew Ulrich, two professionally trainer dog groomers who love their work and especially love animals!

Audrey and Matthew have shared a life long love of animals. Audrey grew up working in her family's dog grooming, training, boarding and daycare business . 
Audrey also worked as a veterinary technician for 5 years,  specializing in pet nutrition and behavior.  Matthew has many years experience as a pet store manager and has worked in the wholesale pet industry.  In 1999 they decided to open The Barking Lot.  They attended grooming school and opened their salon with the goal of providing the highest possible care to their special clients.

Since that time, Audrey and Matthew’s passion for animals has continued to grow.  They actively pursue education and advancement of their profession for themselves and their staff.  They continuously improve their services and facilities and have achieved many great milestones. 

In May 2007, Audrey was a featured speaker at a national grooming conference.  Her seminars “Secrets of Success” and "Gentle Handling Techniques”  were enthusiastically received by a large group of fellow pet care professionals.  She was honored with the recognition of “Highest Rated Speaker 2007”!

In addition to caring for lucky pets at The Barking Lot, Audrey and Matthew are actively work with community charities.  They are dedicated to help people and animals have happier lives.  See Special Interests.
